KB Loves the Gays!

In case you haven’t heard, I’m kind of a big fan of the Gays.

And and even bigger fan of them having equal rights.

So for this week I’m talking about a few gay people that I love.

Elton John!

How could I possibly have a gay people list without including Sir Elton?! He’s the man and is responsible for one of the greatest movie scenes of all time.

Tegan and Sara

My love for Tegan and Sara is well documented. If you don’t like them (*cough* Raeann *cough*) I’m not sure we can be friends anymore. Plus, they’re hilarious.

Robert Mapplethorpe

I’ll be the first to admit that I really don’t get what he was going for with his art. I mean, when I see it, I basically just see pornography. But… He was Patti Smith’s best friend and is immortalized in one of my favorite books, Just Kids by Patti.

Walt Whitman

I do not like poetry. I think it is obtuse and deliberately unintelligible. However, for some strange reason, I am a fan of Whitman. “Oh Captain, My Captain” is my sh!t.

Stephen Fry

Do you like British people? Do you like humor? Then you obviously love Stephen Fry. He is awesome.

Ted Allen

I only recently found out that Ted Allen is gay and I was distraught because I was planning on making him my husband. Whatever. I guess you can’t always get what you want.

Ellen DeGeneres

Ellen is hilarious and is responsible for scaring the crap out of numerous celebrities. Plus, her and Portia are my favorite celebrity couple. If they ever get divorced… there will be hell to pay. HELL, I say.
